On the back of Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy’s fight during the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards on Saturday, May 18, 2019, female Dancehall musician, Kaakie has blasted Shatta Wale for his barbaric behaviour on the night after he lost for the 5th time, the ‘Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year’ award to Stonebwoy.
Shatta Wale had earlier on bagged 2 awards in the categories, ‘Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year’ with ‘Gringo’ and ‘Highlife song of the Year’ with ‘My Level’.
Controversial Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale who lambasted organisers of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Charterhouse after Dancehall Diva Kaaki won “Reggae Dancehall song of the Year” in 2013 is now excited and recording videos on social media to celebrate the 8 awards he won at 2019 3Music Awards.
Shatta Wale in a tweet in 2014, stated clearly that he doesn’t need awards because he is rich with cars and houses ─Shatta Wale even recorded a diss song directed at Charterhouse for not gifting him “Reggae Dancehall song of the Year” in 2013.
Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr aka Shatta Wale has today, January 27, 2019, listed the total number of awards he has won ever since he resurfaced in the music industry 6 years ago.
If you will remember Shatta Wale is the same person as Bandana who released his maiden album around 2004. That album contained his smash hit song titled ‘Mokohoo’ and it song topped a lot of Ghanaian musical charts back then.
First of all, I would advise rising dancehall artiste-Kaaki to consider looking for a new manager—because Jam Master Jay seems to know little about artiste management or lacks the needed international exposure on the subject matter.
According to various online reports, Jam Master Jay-a Ghanaian sound engineer who doubles as the manager of Kaaki stated on Starr Fm that, the manner in which Ghanaian journalists and bloggers report or sought after negative stories on Ghanaian artistes kills the latter’s career—and he even cited Raquel as an example.
There’s no logical correlation whatsoever between the reporting of negative stories about an artiste and career stagnation or death; but surely there is a clear relationship between non hard work and lack of career growth.
So that you would realize the ridiculousness of Jam Master Jay’s assertion, think about how many negative stories (some factual, many false) that the western media (both online and offline) throw out each day about leading world artistes like Rihanna, Beyonce, Chris Brown, Kanye West and the others…
The question is; are their careers dead? In fact, if anything at all, these people continue to get better and stronger—and their careers continue to flourish in the face of all the negativity.
I have for many years been confused about what some people like Jam Master Jay term as negative stories—because, if Raquel decides not to wear a ‘dross’, following which she puts her entire coochie on display; what is a journalist or blogger’s crime of negativity if he or she reports or takes interest in this occurrence?
For the first time, we think travel maniac-Sandra Ankobiah who graduated from the Law School somewhere last year deserves one hell of a salute—and therefore anytime you meet her, just don’t stare at her chest alone; remember that December head is full of brains…
Despite her many world travels, unnecessary roaming, fanatical showbiz interest hallmarked by her desire to be famous and her alleged busy Sugar Daddy businesses, Sandra Ankobiah still managed to sail through the Law School, passing confusing modules like ‘Equity & Trust’.
Surely some women can multi-task; but not all women as Naa Ashorkor Mensah Doku is alleged to have failed multiple subjects at the Law School—and as such couldn’t graduate.
Apparently, Naa Ashorkor even failed RE-SITS—and I didn’t know people had the option to fail RE-SITS because that is like re-killing an already dead man. How does someone even fail a re-sit?
Perhaps, Naa Ashorkor and Kaaki can help us with this question if it’s not so complex for their understanding.
Dancehall Queen-Kaaki has decided to give us a good look at her African banging body—packing things intoa bikini and you cannot miss the hips… If you are ever asked to define who an African woman is; just pull out this picture—and say, that is an African Queen in a bikini. This is a good catch … Read more
Despite the increasing MzVee hype and the decreasing Kaaki hype, the latter seems to be spending some long time in the studio—hoping to break the market with something BIG…
Kaaki has dropped a new song-Roof on Fire and when artistesdo not feature anyone on their singles, mostly they are out to make deep marks or stamp their territory. And we think Kaaki is bent on letting dancehall lovers in Ghana know that, she has no real competitor out there.
Less than a year ago, it was Kaaki who was turning heads—and then came MzVee, who seems to be stealing a great proportion of her shine.

Ghanaian dancehall artiste-Samini has released a video for his single-Body Flame, which features rising dancehall Queen-Kaaki. The black and white visual does great justice to the song and I must confess, slowl, Kaaki is winning my heart as a BADGIRL… Check out the video below httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HNVcCeIxIw
I cannot remember the last time I saw such an excellent music video for a Ghanaian song. It has recently been tacky concepts, unnecessary discothèque lights killing your eyes and bad pictures. Clearly, Kaaki has raised the bar with her video for ‘Too Much’ and I hope other artistes will begin to put efforts into … Read more
I have had the chance to comment on Kaakie whenever I’m reviewing a show I attended and she performed. By now, methinks most people know my stand on her. Home girl needs grooming. In my review of the Stand UP GH concert featuring Bow Wow and Keri Hilson, I mentioned Kaakie’s performance which looked just ordinary. I wrote, “Next was Kaakie, who looked just ordinary. It’s rare for a new artiste in Ghana to have three banging songs, something Kaakie has but didn’t capitalise on. With three big tunes ‘Ewo’, ‘Too Much’, ‘Toffee Pon Tongue’, Kaakie could have done far better out there. She can do better than she did.” “I don’t want to be slapped on the face with the ‘hater’ tag so I will leave Kaakie alone but I think she needs grooming to stay up there. Case close, I’m not saying more.” It appears that for all this while, I’m not the only person who feels Kaakie needs serious branding and grooming.
Read the article below captioned: Open Letter To Kaakie Dear Kaakie, First time I heard one of your tunes, I didn’t know who the singer was. I just loved the music and enjoyed it as much since the Radio Presenter was happy enough to play it twice. He mentioned you had been a contestant in Stars of the Future and that you did not win, nor make it to the top five yet you have found your way into the limelight. I think that song was Too Much. After sometime, you were already on the bill for musical concerts. You have indeed performed on a lot of platforms since I heard Too Much and the few other hit singles you have come out with so far. One thing I find disturbing, however, is the way the public has reacted to your looks for all this while. The outcry about your look and stage performances have been too much on the high side. I can honestly say I have not heard nor read a comfortable thing about your appearance, for whatever shows it has been. I am no fashionista, and am probably the wrong person to try to give you a look but I am going to say it anyway. Your music is dancehall reggae, if I am correct. This kind of music requires a lot of energy to perform as the performer has to entice the crowd to move. The lyrics can be crafty, the beat can be punchy and they on their own are usually enough to make heads roll but when it has to be performed, people inevitably look up to the performer to entice them some more. You could have the best hits that people can enjoy in their homes and cars and offices and at social places but once you are there to perform, the expectations will be higher and all eyes will be glued to you.
I cannot ask who has the finest BOOTY because I may get punched in the face by them all, I seem to love them all…But what I can ask is; who flipped or packed the BOOTY well… Let’s keep it simple, just run your own commentary by looking at the photos below or just give … Read more
