On Wednesday night another tragedy struck near the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra as a raging fire engulfed the Odawna Market and VIP bus terminal.
The fire started around 20:00 hrs and raged for over an hour, destroying shops and other properties in the environs.
If you thought the passage of September meant the annoying showers were done with, October just spent most of its first day showering us with rain.
And in typical fashion, just a 30 minute downpour has turned Circle and its surrounding environs, particularly Adabraka, into a full river.
17 prostitutes have been picked up by police at Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra.
The area is known as a real hotbed of prostitution in the country.
Over 15 shops in the vicinity of the Kwame Nkrumah Circle were razed down this morning by fire.
The incident occurred earlier around 9:30am due to the explosion of a transformer in the area near the former Obra Spot, Citifmonline reports.
