France Football Magazine released their annual list of highest earning footballers worldwide, placing the Barcelona ace at No.1. Aside their club salaries, these players make most of their money from endorsement deals and the like.

Messi’s total earnings for 2014 totalled a staggering $72m. That computes to just under $1.4m a week. Ronaldo wasn’t that far behind, raking in $60m for his toils in 2014.
