One of the most well-known traditions of a white wedding ceremony are the recitation of the vows. Everyone and their mother can recite at least the part that says ‘for better for worse, in sickness and in health and till death do us part’.
These vows are as much a part of every wedding I’ve attended as the wedding cake, and yet Nigerian pastor Bishop Oyedepo claims they’re not actually a blessing but a curse for every marriage.
