Local newspaper the Daily Post reports that after deliberating on the issue, the Council have decided that the President should show mercy and commute the sentences of the jailed Montie 3.

The Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA), a media watchdog, have released the findings of their July report on the use of indecent language on the airwaves in Ghana.
The report identified the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) as the worst culprit over the use of language denigrating opponents, with a whopping 17 incidents attributed to the party and its surrogates – a figure over twice the seven reported by the second placed National Democratic Congress (NDC). The NDP, the PPP and the PNC follow in that order.

The two panellists, Godwin Ako Gunn and Alistair Nelson, as well as the show host Salifu ‘Mugabe’ Maase, received the jail time at the sentencing hearing held Wednesday.
