A coalition of labour unions in the country are embarking on a nationwide strike today, Wednesday January 20; to protest recent increments in fuel price levies, as well as call for increases in salary to combat it.
Government at the turn of the year announced a 27% levy on petroleum prices; a phenomena that ensures that despite plummeting oil prices on the world market- fuel prices continue to go up in Ghana.
