The daughter of Nigerian mega pastor Chris Oyakhilome, gospel singer Carissa Sharon Oyakhilome, got married to her Ghanaian fiance Philip Frimpong today.
The couple held their traditional wedding ceremony with the Chris Embassy founder and other dignitaries in attendance.

Well, Nigerian pastor, Chris Oyakhilome sharing his opinion as to whether husbands and wives are equal or not said:
Nigerian pastor Chris Oyakhilome has attacked his ex-wife, and the media, for his recent divorce which, to hear him tell it – he’s entirely blameless for.
Chris recently preached a ragingly misogynistic sermon in which he said women would lose their beauty if they didn’t serve their husbands every need unreservedly- perhaps explaining why a strong woman might decide to dump his backwards a**.
Pastor Chris is really not feeling the ladies these days. He recently preached a sermon that basically told women to lie prostrate before their lord and masters (their husbands) if they wanted to keep their beauty, and their marriage, intact.
Chris, founder and head pastor the Christ Embassy, gave his rationale for that position in the sermon. According to him, women were an afterthought that God added to his creation, as his original plan had no place for them in the natural order of things at all.
Pastor Anita has quashed rumours circulating that she is back with her ex-husband Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.
Anita Ebhodaghe, a mother-of-two, took to her official website to clear the news about the misinformation surrounding her marital status.
“It has been brought to my attention that there are persistent rumors and misinformation about my marital status being circulated and I would like to address the certain reconciliation rumours with this statement,” she said.
“Further to the formal notification of the dissolution of marriage made by my Solicitors earlier this year, please note that this has not changed; and I am no longer a part of Christ Embassy aka Believer’s Loveworld or any such organisation in any capacity,” she added.

As divorce proceedings continue against him amidst charges of adultery, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome remains bullish whenever he opens his mouth to speak.
The leader of Christ Embassy is going through a trying period of his career, yet you could never tell from the utterances he makes, particularly before his congregation. It seems he has it all figured out, but as far as I’m concerned he keeps digging a bigger hole for himself to be buried in.
He is already on record as having said Pastors wives get too big for their shoes, thinking they are equal to their husbands after they get married.
He has now come out with more proclamations, proving the size of the ego on him and showing that in his eyes he’s incapable of wrong. Only others, those who are not ‘men of God’, are capable of doing wrong.
He is also probably some kind of a sexist too, I’m not sure.
He was speaking to his congregation, in a tirade that took on the media, his wife, and that portrayed him going through trials and tribulations, same as Jesus Christ did.
“A man of God is handpicked by God, set on course by God. If you study the scriptures, you will not find one man of God go against God… No man of God does something against the Lord”
He told his congregation how he’s innocent of any wrong, and why being accused of committing adultery makes him like Jesus Christ.
“You don’t know who a man of God is. I don’t go in that direction. I wasn’t accused of the things you said, nor did I commit those silly things that you said and I don’t need to go into that level in such discussion.”
Christianity has become a JOKE in the eyes of many people—and those parading themselves as the real Christian leaders are in fact making things worse…
Religious leaders are extensively hypocrites and even though I understand they have to find something to preach almost each week, they seem not to take into deep-thinking the messages they send out to their “blinded” congregation who may not even evaluate what they’ve heard.
In a 2013 sermon, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome who is currently battling a divorce case in Court after his wife-Rev. Anita Oyakhilome filed for divorce citing adultery, is seen saying, a true Christian should never change his spouse—and that divorce is never an option.
Apart from the laughter that this message evokes considering his own current situation, the stretch of this is that, even if your husband or wife is abusing the hell out of you each day, as a true Christian, you have to stay and pray to God—leaving or divorce is never an option.
You cannot teach this in schools, teaching students to live in abusive relationships and never think about leaving will never be acceptable but the Church is allowed to freely teach this as part of Christianity.
If a man can’t even live by what he preaches, what makes you think he can lead a flock of sheep to the promise land?

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is currently involved in the battle of his life, as his wife is fighting to divorce, citing ‘adultery’ as the cause.
The case has attracted significant media coverage, as the impending divorce of such a high profile couple whose work also impacts millions of people worldwide is certainly of interest to everyone.
Antia Oyakhilome released a statement yesterday through her lawyers, claiming the marriage was unsalvageable, and Pastor Chris has now responded in a statement of his own, also through his lawyers.
In the statement, the Christ Embassy founder denies the allegations of adultery, and threatened to take legal action against the media who he claims are distorting facts to damage his reputation.
The statement, released through his lawyer Mr Kemi Pinheiro, in read “The attention of our client, Rev. Chris Oyakhilome, and the church has been drawn to the wave of false, malicious and fabricated stories being published in the print and electronic media about his person, the church and a matrimonial cause between him and his wife”
The statement went on to chastise the media, claiming that the divorce is being used as a disguise to carry out selfish motives, aimed at bringing Pastor Chris and his church to public ridicule.
