The issue of rape and s*xual assault has received a big spotlight in Ghana ever since the brave lawyer Kuukuwa Andam narrated her nasty experiences of rape at the hands of some powerful Ghanaian men.
Like in many other jurisdictions where such allegations are made, such an open revelation of a hitherto taboo topic opens a floodgate and many other ladies who had felt muzzled and could not speak up are able to open up and narrate their own terrible experiences of rape.
The style and fashion icon who suffered his own rape scandal, Kwesi Kyei Darkwa aka KKD, has consistently rubbished the recent spate of rape accusations against some ‘big men‘ brought out by Ghanaian lawyer based in Canada, Kuukuwa Andam.

With no apology forthcoming, Kuukuwa has taken to Facebook today to reveal her stories of rape, notably accusing the current President of the Ghana Bar Association (GBA) as one of her rapists.
