The General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana (CCG), Rev. Dr Kwabena Opuni-Frimpong, has called on Ghanaians to resist any temptation and influence from any country or individuals to legalise same sex marriage in the country.

He described same sex marriage as ‘unbiblical’, unChristian and unAfrican, hence the practice should be resisted and condemned by all Christians and well-meaning Ghanaians.

Following United States of America’s Supreme Court legalization of same-s*x marriage, Mozambique has ceased to treat homosexuality as criminal offence in its penal code at a time where other African countries are tightening anti-gay laws, the BBC reports.

This move adds Mozambique to the few African countries like South Africa, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ivory Coast where gay and lesbian relationships are legal.
