Yesterday, was a glorious and beautiful day for the Shatta Movement and their boss, Charles Nii Armah Mensah aka Shatta Wale as they made history at the 2019 3Music awards.
Shatta Wale bagged eleven nominations at the 2019 3 Music Awards and won for himself eight out of the eleven nominations yesterday, winning the most awards at a 3Music Awards Night.
The much hyped and talked about awards ceremony that is fast giving the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards a hot chase, the 3 Music Awards happened yesterday.
Many Ghanaian musicians took home an award or two, but the night belonged to the self-acclaimed African Dancehall King and the leader of Shatta Movement, Charless Nii Armah Mensah aka Shatta Wale.
Congratulations to the boss of Shatta Movement, Shatta Wale for bagging 8 awards out of 11 nominations at the 2019 3Music Awards which came off yesterday, March 31, 2019, at the Fantasy Dome.
Shatta Wale on the night topped with 8 awards with his arch-rival, Stonebwoy winning just 3 awards and shockingly, Sarkodie won none!
Despite the advice that Sarkodie wisely gave him in the diss song of the year so far, Shatta Wale has still learned nothing and continues to attack his colleagues and their fans at any chance he gets.
He recently got so jealous at Stonebwoy landing international collaborations that he had to attack him on Twitter and to follow up on that, he’s now describing fans of Stonebwoy and Sarkodie as stupid.
According to Mojo Morgan of the popular Reggae/Dancehall group, Morgan Heritage, Ghanaian Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy produces conscious music and for that matter, Ghanaians should listen to him.
Mojo Morgan in an interview with Chelsy Sey on Takoradi-based YFM said;
Ten timeless artists have been nominated by organizers of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs), Charterhouse, to compete for the prestigious prize of artiste of the decade.
The VGMAs celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and in addition to all the usual awards, one category has been added to reward the best artiste in the country over the past ten years.
Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale, Ghana’s two top dancehall stars, are back to doing what they do best, which is throwing shade at each other on social media.
Stonebwoy recently announced a collaboration with Beenie Man, which led many people to praise him for always being able to land massive foreign collabos and naturally, made Shatta Wale jealous as hell.
Ghana’s finest dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy is currently out there making Ghana proud and also expanding his brand across the Carribean Islands and the Northern part of America.
Stonebwoy hinted on collaborating with the some of the world’s finest dancehall artistes, such as Jamaican A-listed Dancehall artiste, Beenie Man and many others.
Shatta Wale’s friend turned enemy, Archipalago a few days ago surprised us after he was captured in a video chilling with Ghana’s finest Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy Burnington in the streets of New York.
Archipalago has taken the friendship between the Bhimnation boss, Stonebwoy and himself to another level as he has posted a video of Stonebwoy on his Instagram page asking people to send words to Stonebwoy that he really appreciates what he is doing.
Shatta Wale who cannot wait to lay his hands on a VGMA award is currently sharing airtime to his fans to vote for him to make his dream come true.
Shatta Wale on his Facebook page posted: “Who is ready for some Vodafone credit. I will just post it in 5mins. Just vote and browse”.
Sometimes I don’t even understand why some Ghanaian dancehall artistes keep competing with Stonebwoy on the issue of who is the best dancehall artiste when they know within them that they don’t come anywhere him.
While some of his so-called competitors are fighting over titles in Ghana they don’t even deserve, Stonebwoy is making Ghana proud internationally.
Fans of the BHIM Nation boss Stonebwoy have yet another monster collaboration to look forward to from their beloved leader as he’s secured a collaboration with Jamaica’s Beenie Man.
The two dancehall heavyweights are working together on a new song which would be released later in the year.
The American Embassy has congratulated the boss of Bhim Nation, Stonebwoy for winning the “Favourite African Star” award at the 2019 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
The American Embassy in a tweet said:
Stonebwoy and wife, Dr Louisa Satekla after welcoming their newborn son a few weeks ago have revealed his name on social media.
Stonebwoy who has already created an Instagram page for his son posted a family photo on the account @janam.ljr with the caption; “Dad.Mum.BigSis 👨👩👧”.
