SSNIT Sues Ibrahim Mahama For Not Paying GHC1m Staff Contributions

Ibrahim Mahama, the brother of Ghana’s former president-John Dramani Mahama who made headlines a few days ago over the issuance of 46 dud cheques has been sued by SNNIT for not paying staff contributions of about 1 million Ghana cedis.

Starr Fm reports that Ibrahim Mahama and co were “arraigned at the special SSNIT Saturday Court for his company’s inability to pay the SSNIT contributions of its staff.”

“The facts of the case according to the Prosecuting officer, Leena Adomah Boakye, has it that Engineers and Planners together with its Owner and Directors failed to pay SSNIT contributions of their employees for the periods February 2015 to July 2015 and June 2016 to October 2016. The unpaid contributions amounted to about 700,000 cedis,” the website stated.
