University of Education, Winneba has been the subject of bad publicity the whole week following an impasse between the Vice-Chancellor and some lecturers of the University.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University has been accused by the student population and the University Teachers Association of Ghana of arbitrarily dismissing lecturers and workers of the University community.

On Friday, April 7, 2017, Dr. Adu Boateng was honoured by the Childhood Care Education Students Association of Ghana (CCESAG), University of Education, for playing a key role in its development and his benevolence acts towards the school.

The end of year for students at tertiary institutions across the country is a hectic time, generally; but home economic students of the University of Education in Winneba had a way to combine the drudgery with some fun.
The school holds an annual exhibition for students to exhibit the talents they have and what they have picked up from their years at the school, and this year was no exception with some jaw dropping exhibits on display.
