Robbie Williams gave away one of his Brit awards to soccer star Wayne Rooney.
The singer, who recently picked up his 18th Brit honour, reveals he was “stoned” when he asked his manager to send the Manchester United hero his award in the hope it would cheer him up as he recovered from an injury.
A group of masked burglars thought they had chosen the perfect opportunity to rob England captain Wayne Rooney whilst he was playing a testimonial match to mark his incredible career – except their plans went pear shaped just moments later.
The gang hit Rooney’s Chesire £6m mansion Wednesday, at the same time he was appearing in his own testimonial game between his current side Manchester United and previous side Everton. They did not account for his high tech security system though, which caught them out almost immediately.
