Interestingly, why the big ‘shot’ artistes with money, exposure and connections are taking hits at BET Awards in order to end the annual disrespect they show to African artistes, the overwhelmed, low earning-artistes like Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Yemi Alade and the others have refused to say a word—actually, Stonebwoy even thinks it’s a blessing to receive BET Awards backstage or be pre-recorded.
Over the weekend, GhanaCelebrities.Com was in Lome, Togo to support a charity concert organised by the Emmanuel Sheyi Adebayor foundation, dubbed Emmanuel Sheyi Adebayor (SEA) Youth Festival—and present at the concert to thrill patrons where Wizkid, Bisa Kdei, Dieudonne Willa, Serge Baynand and others…
Togolese artistes such as Dieudonne Willa and Serge Baynand pumped the required adrenaline into the crowd as they screamed for more.
Ghana’s Bisa Kdei received a rousing welcome when he took his turn to literally shake the crowd. The audience, albeit their lack of fluency in the lyrics of the song still sung out loudly in the most passionate way. Ghanaian comedians Funny Face and Great Salinco joined Bisa on stage to support the ‘Metanfo’ hit maker.
Lola Rae, a British born Ghanaian singer made a cameo appearance on stage when she performed a beautiful track with Bisa Kdei.
The event was a huge success and Adebayor, the former BBC and African footballer of the year mounted the stage to thank the crowd in his native language. The after party continued in Adebayor’s plush residence (a state of the art club in his house) where Ghana’s captain Asamoah Gyan made a surprise appearance.
The SEA Foundation was initiated by Adebayor to empower the underprivileged in the society, starting from Togo.
The foundation also embodies discovery of talents and a catalyst to spur the young ones to greater height.
### The concert took place at Stade Municipal De Lome which preceded a soocer and fun games at the Marcelo beach the previous day.
Nigeria’s Wizkid is aiming higher with his music—and yesterday in South Africa, he performed with Chris Brown for the first time on stage their collabo-‘African Bad Girl’ and ‘Show You The Money’.
Wizkid who was obviously excited about this posted the below videos of their performance on instagram—and you can see Chris Brown doing the Nigerian boogie…
It doesn’t really hurt if you are not aware that another woman or man is banging your partner—but if the person comes right to your face and tell you, it goes beyond the hurting box. Your dignity is breached and you must leave to keep the little self-respsct left.
Of course many women who are with celebrities for the money or fame will not leave even if another woman does not just claim she is having affair with their men—but presents photo evidence too.
A certain woman has written to Nigerian Blog-BellaNaija.Com with photos showing Wizkid in her bed, telling the musician’s girlfriend that, she has been chopping down her man.
According to this mystery woman, she had an adventurous night at Eko Hotel with the Nigerian musician and she wants her girlfriend-Tania Omotayo to know.
What a disrespect…
But would Tania Omotayo even think about leaving or evaluating this? We don’t think she will even attempt to discuss it with Wizkid for fear of losing him.
Check the email and photos the mystery woman sent…
The foreign artistes have already touched down and those in Ghana have no where to run to—so it is a date tonight and you shouldn’t MISS the Hennessy Artistry Concert for anything.
This is the first time the Hennessy Artistry Concert is coming to Ghana and with Wizkid, 2face Idibia, Mafikizolo, 4×4, Edem, MzVee & Others billed to mount one big stage to thrill patrons, it’s definitely going to be a MEGA concert—worth attending.
It’s taking place at the Accra International Conference and even though many have tipped 2face from Nigeria to steal the show with both his tall list of both old and new hit songs, Wizkid is not a push over—Mafikizolo from South Africa, 4×4, Edem and MzVee from Ghana cannot also be ruled out that easily.
All roads will lead to the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday-18th October, 2014 as over 6 top African musicians will mount the same stage to thrill concertgoers at the first in Ghana Hennessy Artistry Concert.
Nigeria’s 2face and Wizkid, will team up with South Africa’s Mafikizolo, alongside 4×4, Edem, MzVee and others from Ghana to give patrons electrifying musical performances—and you definitely have to be out there.
Interestingly, this is going to be the first time Wizkid and 2face will perform together in Ghana and the second anywhere in the world—the two will mount the same stage to perform their first collaborative track ‘Dance Go.

It’s definitely going to be a MEGA concert this Saturday, 18th October, 2014—as more than 5 top African musicians from Nigeria, South Africa and Ghana will mount one stage to thrill fans at the first Hennessy Artistry Concert in Ghana. You dare miss this once in a life time opportunity and you would have yourself to blame!
Any of these musicians-Wizkid, 2face, Mafikizolo, 4×4, Edem and MzVee can hold independent concerts and deliver bad-to-back electrifying performances but Hennessy has decided to pull some sort of a ‘clash of the best’ by putting them all on one stage for Ghanaian music lovers at the Accra International Conference.
Surely it must have cost Hennessy a fortune but as concertgoers, we don’t really care much about the cost—we are just excited about the opportunity to have these artistes rock our night.
And considering how much the tickets are going for, any of these artistes staging an individual concert would have charged the same—so this looks like buy one get 5 free for us, you wouldn’t find this anywhere.
From his 2006 hit song-African Queen to his 2014 releases, 2face will take patrons on a long but interesting musical journey, which has in many ways contributed to the recognition of African music at the international front.
And then, as we know, Wizkid never disappoints when on stage. With such exciting repertoire of hit songs, ranging from ‘Paurumo’ to ‘My Baby’, it’s just going to be a night to remember.
Wizkid and 2face have just performed together once— so it’s going to be very interesting to have the two of them on the same stage in Ghana, to perform their first collaborative track ‘Dance Go’.
Three powerful brands-Hennessy, Starr Fm and Empire Entertainment have teamed up for the first time for a mega concert in Ghana- Hennessy Artistry Concert, to be held at the Accra International Conference Centre on 18th October, 2014—and if you are not sure about the might of the organizers, the billed to perform artistes will confirm it is going to be MEGA.
Nigeria’s Wizkid and 2face will join South Africa’s Mafikizolo alongside Edem, 4×4, MzVee and others to rock the stage with their repertoire of hit songs. And when we talk about hit songs, you know 2face has dozens…
You will never catch 2face, Wizkid, Mafikizolo, 4×4 and Edem on the same stage—and not that it’s impossible but unless you are Hennessy with two great partners and a huge bank account, you cannot foot the bill.
Therefore, for the first time in Ghana, the Hennessy Artistry Concert will bring some of the best and well paid African artistes together—just to thrill you.
Courtesy of the organizers, GhanaCelebrities.Com is giving out 5 VIP tickets for FREE to our valued readers to attend the Hennessy Artistry Concert for that MEGA experience.
After Akon ‘s recent video shoot in Ghana with Nigeria’s Wizkid and Banky W, it emerged that the Senegalese born American based rapper joined hands with some modelling agencies to discriminate against dark skinned models who they had initially requested…
After the video shoot, some dark skinned models alleged that Akon and Wizkid requested through the various modelling agency that they do not want them (dark skinned models) anymore—-but wanted light skinned ones, preferably mixed race models.
The insult on the dark skinned models was aggravated by subsequent request that, if they know of any light skinned young girls, they should kindly supply their details or call them over…If you did not read our report on the issue, CLICK HERE to read it…
A photog of celebrity blog-TMZ caught up with Akon who was rolling up to Bootsy Bellows in West Hollywood to find out if the above really did happen and he said NO…
But then, what else do we expect him to say? We guess when the video for the song- Roll It comes out, we can make some deductions as to which models were used…
However, reports which seem to have been put out by some of the models who were supposed to be part of the video shoot as vixens have it that when they got to the location, the dark skinned models were turned away.
And that, Akon and Wizkid requested through the various modelling agency that they do not want the dark skinned models—-but wanted light skinned ones, preferably mixed race models.
The insult on the dark skinned models was aggravated by subsequent request that, if they know of any light skinned young girls, they should kindly supply their details or call them over…
This is not much of a big issue since we all have preference in life but what is the point in going to a country with majority of its people being dark to make such request in the face of the various dark skinned models you ‘wrongly’ requested?

African’s biggest act now and Nigeria’s star boy, Wizkid has promised Ghanaians and several other nationals who will make their way to the Conference Centre in Accra for the third edition of the annual ‘Ghana Meets Naija’ musical concert slated for June 29 an exciting performance.
Speaking at the official launch of the event which seeks to foster friendship between the two West African giants music-wise, Wizkid born Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun said over the past few years he had longed to perform on the show but due to his busy schedules he had to once opt out.
He said he has always been in talks with Bola Ray, the brain behind the concert and the CEO of Empire Entertainment, about performing at the show but other engagements had made it impossible for him. He said he was excited and happy that finally he will get the opportunity to “help his compatriots to record their first victory against their Ghanaians counterparts” come Saturday June 29.
Unlike what was seen from him at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards where he performed only two songs which didn’t go down well with his fans, at the ‘Ghana Meets Naija’, Wizkid who was a co-winner of BET’s Best Africa Act 2012 award will headline the concert. This means he will have more than enough time to perform all his hits songs including his smash hit ‘Back to the Matter’ which is currently getting serious rotation on radio in Ghana.
GhanaCelebrities.Com observed from his countenance that, he was ready to represent his country to the fullest as they seek to avenge the defeats his compatriots recorded in the two previous editions in 2011 and in 2012. He also appreciated and thanked his fans in Ghana.
Wizkid will not do the job alone; he will be supported by the new sensation Burna Boy and Afro-Pop/Afro-Beat superstar, Timaya.
Representing the home nation with the red, yellow, green with the black star would be African Dance Hall sensation Samini who will be gracing the stage with Wizkid to perform their hit ‘Time Bomb’.
Call him the Best Rapper Alive, Okyeame Kwame will also represent live to dish out fine tunes coupled with decent lyrics such as ‘Woara’, ‘Faithful’ and a couple of hits from his rich repertoire.
Ghana’s newly crown Artiste of the Year; R2Bees will be looking at impressing the large patrons expected at the event. Their stage performance has always been subjected to strong criticism due to their lack of coordination but the onus lies with them to disabuse the minds of their critics and explain why they won the biggest award at the VGMA.
Ahead of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards tonight at the Conference Centre, Bola Ray organized a pre-event at the Excel Lounge inside Airport last-night. In attendance were African Artiste of the Year nominee Wizkid, and Banky W who is billed to perform tonight and Dammy Krane, the young Nigerian musician who was recently linked to … Read more
