Shatta Wale’s mother has added her voice to the recent debate on who deserves the ‘Artiste of the Year’ Award at the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).
According to Madam Elsie Avemegah, her son [Shatta Wale] is the best artiste in Ghana to be crowned ‘Artiste of the Year’ at this year’s VGMAs.

She added that Ghanaians will never choose the late Ebony Reigns over her son, Shatta Wale judging from what he did under the year review.
Shatta Wale who was banned from the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in 2013 for his arrogance and disrespectfulness towards the Board is finally back and this time around competing with top artistes such as Sarkodie, Ebony Reigns, Joe Mettle and Stonebwoy for the ‘Artiste of the Year’ accolade.

Shatta Wale’s mother in an interview with Razzonline said:
“There is one thing people don’t want to know…I know the charisma my son has; there is nothing that will pass by him..he is going to take it..no two ways about it.
“I’m telling you that whatever the case may be, my son is going to take it…so I can not tell you that someone is going to take it and leave my son…my son is supposed to take and he will take it”.

The 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards will be held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on Saturday, April 14, 2018.
