A disagreement between two biological brothers over the cadaver of a dog and goat slaughtered for their late father has caused the death of one and left the other in police custody.
The elder of the two brothers Nwenle Takia aged 52 is said to have stabbed his younger brother Bignani Takia aged 50 on his left armpit, top of his breast and his testes while they fought over the cooked goat and dog meat.
The incident happened at Piabuni a village near Gbingbani in the Bunkprugu-Yunyoo district of the Northern Region on Monday. Bignani Takia died instantly when his brother stabbed him.

It is unclear how the fighting started or what really caused it but the police were told that when the fight was going on Nwenle Takia pulled a knife and stabbed his brother repeatedly killing him.
The deceased body was sent to the Faith Community Hospital at Nakpanduri where a postmortem examination was done before the body was released for burial. The culprit is in police custody awaiting trial.
