President Akufo-Addo has cried out highlighting the bad treatement his country is subjecting him to.
The president of Ghana as described himself as the most vilified political leader in the country.
He bemoaned that some media houses and private organizations purposely publish distasteful news about him to tarnish his reputation and records.
“I find it ironic that the presidency of a man who has been and continues to be daily the most vilified political figure of his generation can be accused of presiding over a culture of silence.”
According to President Akufo-Addo, his presidency has constantly been bad-mouthed, vilified with harsh criticism from Ghanaians and political his opponents.
Nana Addo said this at a special congregation in his honour at the University of Cape Coast.
He echoed that despite all the vilification, he has never tried to subject any citizen to unfair treatment neither has he promoted the culture of silence.
Knowledge has never been a gift granted exclusively to one group. We must listen and hear each other more,” he said.
“There is no midnight knock on the door in Ghana or authors of dissenting views nor will there be during my presidency”
