Last year, events house, Empire entertainment, against all odds managed to put together the biggest beach jam ever staged in Ghana, with the 10-10-10 beach jam which saw 10 DJs, 10 artistes and 10 MCs doing their thing all on one big stage at the Labadi beach. Following in the phenomenal success of that event and further bolstered by the ground breaking Ghana Meets Naija concert which recorded the highest turnout ever at the Dome; Bola Ray and his team have put together another innovative rave aptly tagged, the “11-11-11 Party”.

Venue is the exclusive Excel Lounge located in the plush Airport residential area and is set to take place on Friday the 11th day of November,2011. According to Richard Assifuah, a member of the creative and production team at Empire, this event is perhaps the most well though-out and innovative club rave to be staged in the country; he further reveals that, apart from being  a concept event, the team made all efforts to present an event that possessed substance and will give all manner of rave folks good value for their money. This event is therefore targeted at people who are are ambitious, fun loving, trendy, out spoken, on the lookout for opportunities in life.

This Sunday, London will again play host to the esteemed GUBA Awards. The red carpet will be rolled out and the Park Plaza Embankment will house some of the UK and Ghana’s shining stars. A plethora of guests have already confirmed their attendance to the event founded by Dentaa last year.

Ellen Thomas will be hosing  alongside Ras Kwame. The Eastenders’ actress and former BBC Radio presenter  will take guests through a extravagant award ceremony.

In attendance will be Arsenal quartet Emmanuel Frimpong,  Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Daniel Boateng and Chuks Aneke. All four players have enjoyed much success this year with Frimpong and Oxlade-Chamberlain both making  first team appearances in the league while Boateng and Aneke made League Cup appearances.

Ghana Music & Food Festival Slated For October 28, 29 & 30 At Trade Fair Centre!

The Ghana Music and Food Festival [GHMFF] is an upcoming event with sole aim of creating a big platform for Ghanaians to congregate at one venue; Ghana International Trade Fair Centre, La – Accra to celebrate their music and food.

The GHMFF which promises to be an exciting event Ghanaians will look out for every year was earlier slated for October 1, 2011 but after several meetings between the organisers and the various government ministries involved agreed that, the one day event was not enough to champion the aim of the event.

The maiden edition of the GHMFF has therefore been moved from October 1, 2011 to October 28, 29, 30. On the 28th October which happens to be a Friday, there will be a ‘Happy Hour’. Various activities have been earmarked for that day.

On Saturday, 29th October, the event itself. The venue will be divided into three (3) stands to cater for the main music genre inGhana. Each stand will have its own activities.
