"I Didn't Know My Song Made People Fornicate" – Yaw Siki

Yaw-Siki-We have heard this far too many times that we are just tired of hearing it. The God who love sinners yet hates sin keeps forgiving all these people who were in the world as the staunch Christians would put. From the camp of the Alewa hit maker, Ofori Amponsah to that of Lord Kenya, they all in someway allowed this very phrase to slip through their mouths.
I mean how can you not know secular music is sin inclined? Where were you brought up that you do not know that people who get themselves involved in such per the definition of sin by the Christians is a sinner?
So Yaw Siki who rose to fame with his song “wu p3 dodo” and “Jeggings Party” after a near death decided to go the christian way. Dude finally realised there is more to life than doing secular music which would only send people down the gallows of hell as we have been made to believe.
The born-again Tema rapper, exalting his new life on the ‘Xclusive Chat’ segment of ‘The Big X Show’ on Radio Univers, disclosed that he was unaware that his song was pushing people into sexual immorality.
“Ei…this is what I was doing?…So this is what my song was doing. Leading people into fornication. It is not a good feeling. I wish they could even stop playing them.”
Yaw Siki, who now prefers to be called Brother Yaw, told Real Eugene, the host of the show that he once went to testify in a church when the language interpreter confessed that he used the ‘Wop3 dodo’ tune to commit several sexual sins in the past.
Brother Yaw added that he wished Radio Stations and Television Channels stopped playing his secular songs. He further revealed that he composed some gospel songs after his turn around but had to put his music career on a hold.
Brother Yaw asserted that his new life of evangelism is fulfilling though he finds it difficult to make ends meet.
