The Supreme Court delivered their verdict in the Martin Amidu v Alfred Woyome case earlier this week, ruling that the former Attorney General would be permitted to cross examine Mr Woyome on how the Ghc 51.m judgement debt was spent by him.
The case was initially being spearheaded by the Attorney General, but she withdrew the motion, claiming the businessman had agreed to pay the amount and thus the cross was superfluous.
But Amidu pressed the case, believing it is imperative Ghanaians learn how the money was spent. He thus refiled a similar motion, which has been granted by the Supreme Court.
