VIDEO: When Did Kim Kardashian Become A Role Model To Nigerians? Interviewer Says She Is A Big Role…

Kim Kardashian In Nigeria11

When we thought the Kim Kardashian Nigerian trip brouhaha had ended, a video interview has emerged in which the interviewer states categorically that Kim Kardashian is a huge role model to young Nigerians… REALLY?

What sort of role model is she to any African down here? How many young Africans are aspiring to release a sex tape, thereby making her their role model?

It is enough if you want to kiss someone like Kim Kardashian’s butt for whatever reason but it is pure absurdity to cite her as  a role model to any young Nigerian-not those I know or have come across.

Am the only who keep asking myself this; what does this girl do at all? Oh I forgot the interview said she is an actress…

The last thing anyone out there in America would credit Kim Kardashian with is a role model status but in as usual, we (Africans) will buy every crap, thinking we’ve gotten the best!

Check out the interview below

  1. Nigeria is full of “Kim Talent”, I don’t know if anyone has noticed this but every lady in nigeria is bleaching out, wanna look whitish, wanna be on any video set being it porn or “davido” kinda music videos! Am not surprise the interviewer addressed Kim as a HUGE role model to young & all Nigerians! Nigerians are copying blindly everything from the states!

    • @AfricanProdigy pin:29134127, if u think evry girl with a great skin is “bleaching”, then you av a serious problem mate. Every pretty girl in the world would always want to flaunt there beauty..if u tink thats wrong too, then something must b wrong with you. Ma ghananian friends keeps telling me than am bleaching cos am fair in complextion…I just ignore them these days cos am tired of telling them that am not. Get over ursef mehn, nt every light skinned person in africa is bleaching

      • @Our yansh, Anybody who thinks being light skin or closer to pale skin is ‘great’ is a besotted fool. Dark skin is the greatest skin any human being can have on this planet, go ask your biology teacher to explain it to you if you are too blunt to comprehend it.

      • @Our yansh, You mean every girl wants to have a porno tape as the best way to remember her? Or get married for just 73 days? as the peaks of their lives? You must be one of those ignoramus who feed on crap being defecated by television huh? No wonder Nigerians see this piece of shit as a role model.

  3. YES, YES, KIM HAD A BAD PAST, BUT LETS FOCUS ON HER PRESENT LIFE NOW. THIS IS SOMEONE WHO DID NOT ALLOW HER BAD HISTORY TO AFFECT HER. SHE DUST HERSELF UP AND TURNED HER LIFE AROUND. HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN CHANGE THIER BAD PAST INTO SUCH A “BRAND” AFTER ALL, SHE IS NOT THE ONLY ONE WHOSE SEX TAPE WENT VIRAL IN AMERICA. HOW MANY OF THE OTHERS HAVE BEEN ABLE TO CHANGE THIER LIFE POSITIVELY WITH THE SHADOWS FROM THE PAST….????
A DAY OLD BABY WILL EVEN TESTIFY KIM IS NOT TALENTED, BUT THE QUESTION IS; WHY DO PEOPLE PAY HUGE AMOUNTS TO HAVE HER ON THIER SHOWS? THE ANSWER IS GOOD MANAGEMENT!!!!!! KRIS JENNER, TO ME IS ONE OF THE BEST CELEB MANAGERS YOU CAN FIND. SHE HAS REALLY PLAYED A VERY STUNNING ROLE IN PROMOTING AND BRANDING ANYTHING THAT HAS TO DO WITH THE NAME “KARDASHIAN”. ON THE OTHER HAND, THERE ARE ALSO CELEBRITIES WHO HAVE PURE, UNDILUTED TALENT BUT YET FADING DUE TO POOR MANAGEMENT. THIS IS HOW FAR WE’VE COME! THE WORLD SCREAMS FOR PEOPLE LIKE KIM KARDASHIAN. AND ITS A FACT!

CALLING A SPADE A SPADE WONT KILL YOU…

Have you realize that almost all the American media have been bashing her for scamming chris Humphries and other illicit activities she got herself into.

This kind of people their ending is disgusting.

Her relationship with kanye West was doubted because of her past dubious life and i wont be surprise if kanye dump her

  14. Jokes…i remember a “Z-list” celebrity called Amber Rose coming to Ghana and nobody said any ish.
Kim is a business woman and is a PR guru…she gets $50,000 just to tweet about a product, joint ownership of DASH stores , gets paid to host gigs like the one in Nigeria where she was paid $500,000. Too much anti-sentiment and not enough business sense my Ghanaian ranting friends.
If you are looking at Kim K in that context then you should start with majority of the Ghollywood actresses who fuck for money and roles (and dont come at me like you dont know 90% of them are sluts)

    Reply
    • @Bryan, I’m not getting your point I’m sorry. Amber Rose’s visit incurred the displeasure of so many Ghanaians who protested on various platforms (including Ghanacelebrities.com). Indeed, so great was the protest that African American blogs like clutchmagazine & Nicole bitchie all did articles on it & amber herself had to come out with a video to explain her intentions for coming to Ghana. This is not the same for Kim K’s visit. The worldwide media is laughing @ Africans & saying Kim K hoodwinked everyone because she only showed up for 45 minutes to say ‘hello naija’ & yet carted away $500,000. & yet sadly, instead of Nigerians protesting this outrageous behavior, several are supporting her & even calling her ‘a role model’.Which business sense are you talking about? Are you telling me that when people paid only $614 to attend that concert, the $500, 000 she was paid was recouped plus all other expenses? Are you saying that just because Kim K has made money mostly through dubious means, she’s a good role model to your young women & so they should also make sex tapes, sell their weddings for cash & have babies with lovers when they’re married? I live in the States & here, you’ll hardly find any educated person who is a Kim K fan, only the ghetto people here worship her. So why should we Africans always scratch the bottom of the pit for z-listers & worship them? I guess you’ll be praising honey-boo-boo next since she’s also making money for doing nothing just like Kim K.

    • @Echa, if you had a problem with someone insulting your country, you should have said so rather than to turn around & start doing worse by all the things you’ve said about Ghana. I think it’s highly disrespectful for you to come to a Ghanaian blog & then say all these negative things you have said about Ghana. I I go to Nigerian blogs a lot like nairaland, naijagists& Nigeria films& they insult Ghanaians all the time but what I do when I see insults against my country there is is to complain not to turn around & insult Nigeria. Please be mature (since you said you’ve finished university) & accept that 2 wrongs don’t make a right & you shouldn’t have done that. You’ve said so many things about Ghana & some of us have kept quiet & watched you with a smile because we know that your statements are misinformed. Look, Ghana, like every developing country has challenges but we’ve come really far. We’ve had decades of sustained democracy, we were the country with the 2nd fastest growing economy last year, Our GDP keeps shooting up every year. CNN has designated Ghana as one of the top 5 countries for people to visit & several people (including President Obama in his 2008 speech) have started calling Ghana a success story already. So don’t come here & say all those nasty things about Ghana just because you feel insulted. Thank you.

    • @Echa, when I visit naija blogs & they insult my country, I tell them I’m unhappy about it but I don’t turn around to insult Nigerians on their own blog just because they said unfavorable things about my country. That’s what you did & it’s wrong. No one said take any comments ‘lightly’. But as a mature person, you should know how to register your displeasure without insulting. So because 3 people on this blog said horrible things about your country, you go on to make comments that all 20 million Ghanaians are poor, we can’t pay for our education & essentially we’re hopeless? Why didn’t you limit your insults to the people you said insulted you & your country but you extended it to Ghanaians who haven’t done you any harm. Is that fair? What have we done to you to deserve such insults? Do we not allow your fellow country men to live in our country, establish businesses & go to our schools? You complained about people insulting your country but you’ve just done the same to Ghana so how does it make you different? Anyway, if you don’t see anything wrong with what you did then it’s ok, let’s just leave it. Take care.

    • @Echa, Look, I don’t think Ghana is better than Nigeria. I admire the progress that Nigeria has made including having the richest black woman in the world & the richest man in sub-Saharan Africa. I said you’re misinformed because you said that all Ghanaians are poor but according to the statistics, 54.7% of Nigerians are living below the poverty line & that is twice the number of Ghanaians doing the same (28.5% ) Taken from worldbank website- http://data.worldbank.org/country/ghana
http://data.worldbank.org/country/nigeria. That doesn’t mean that Ghanaians are worse than Nigerians or whatever as there are other places Ghana may fall behind nigera. But I’m just saying get your facts straight that’s all

    • @Echa,
      1. I called you out because your apology seemed more like a justification for what you said rather than a genuine apology. This is what you said: “sorri 2 all gud ghanaians out there who feels bad about ma comments but wat is gud for d goose,is also gud for d gander” & “sorri 2 all those who feel insulted even though i v bin insulted as well” So up until now you’ve not actually apologized for anything you said, you’ve only said that if anyone FEELS bad or insulted then you’re sorry & then you went on to justify your behavior. That doesn’t sound like a heartfelt apology.

      2. I didn’t put words in your mouth. You did say that majority of Ghanaians can’t pay for their education: Your words: “hahaha, free n quality educatn indeed. u guys nid it more cos majority cant pay 4 their education”; You also said Ghanaians are poor. Your words: “did our president com to beg ghana for money? knowin hw poor u guys r,he will rather go to Niger republic”. & in my estimation, a country where everyone is poor & can’t even afford to pay for their education is essentially hopeless no? Your comments about Ghana was unfounded & unfair so be man enough to withdraw them & then address the people here who insulted your country. The fact that 3 people insulted Nigeria on this blog doesn’t mean the whole Ghana has insulted Nigeria so your statements were unfounded.

    • @Echa, I accept your apology & I respect and appreciate your humility in rendering it. In fact, you have shown that you’re a genuine man. Now since I did not post those insults about your country, I don’t know whether you’d find my apology acceptable but I also apologize on behalf of all those who wrote negative things here about Nigeria. Try and put aside any hurt that those insults may have caused you. At the end of the day, we’re all brothers and sisters & some Ghanaians are even your direct relatives because they migrated from your country some years ago (ie: the Ga ethnic group of Ghana). One Africa & One love. God bless you.
