Ghanaian afro-pop singer Wiyaala Noella, known for her high energy stage performances, has made a statement of bold intent, gunning for some of the top performers the world has ever seen.
Wiyaala, in a recent interview, said that if given the same opportunities as artists like Rihanna and Beyonce, who are two of the best selling artists of all time- she would definitely be a much better artiste than they both are.
The singer spoke to Graphic Showbiz in an interview last week.
“I am not blowing my own horn but trust me, I have watched performances by Rihanna and Beyoncé and I believe I can do better than them.” the self assured artiste confidently told the newspaper.

“They just have big platforms. I know when I also get a big platform like theirs, I can do much better than them,” she added.
The singer, obviously in a bullish mood, also added that she has no competition on the local stage.
“I have no contender in Ghana and most people who have had the opportunity to watch my performances can attest to it.” she added.
Wiyaala picked up the best female vocalist award at last year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, ending Efya’s stranglehold on that particular award. Her high energy stagecraft is her most recognisable asset, and it has earned her a diverse array of admirers, including the UK High Commissioner to Ghana- Jon Benjamin.
