Legendary musician, Nana Kwame Ampadu has revealed that his fans were not pleased with his decision to join the National Democratic Congress (NDC) some years back.
The “Obra” hit singer said in an interview with DJ Murphy Lee on Storm FM’s Entertainment Xtra that his fans hated him and even boycotted his music during the time he declared his support for NDC.
“My fans hated me for joining NDC, refused my music and condemned my personality,” he said
Even though he defected to NPP in 2008, he was still despised by his fans. “After some years, I declared my support for the NPP and yet I was neglected by my fans,” he said.
Nana Ampadu added that everyone has a right to belong to a political party, including entertainers. “I have the belief that as Ghanaians we all have equal rights to choose and belong to any party. We should also know that Ghana is for us all”
