Koku Anyidoho, the now Deputy General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has boldly stated that he did not financially gain anything out of payroll for his three and a half years service as the Director of Communications at the Presidency under late President Atta Mills—adding that, he is now struggling to build a house.
Anyidoho claims everything he did while working at the high office was for his nation, and he didn’t ever think about personal gains.
There are speculations that Koku Anyidoho who was more like the right hand man of president Mills and officially his mouthpiece accumulated a lot of wealth from his political appointment. But he says that’s far from from the truth.
Speaking on Starr FM, Koku Anyidoho said: “A number of times people who had led investors to come and see President Mills at the Castle wanted me to help them make money from the investors but I turned such moves down. So when he passed on, people actually laughed at me saying, we told you that we should do business stopped us…now President Mills is gone, how much money have you made in your years of working closely with the President.”
He added that his selflessness means his conscience is clear as he wasn’t involved in any sort of corruption.
