The policy think-tank IMANI Ghana has given the ruling NDC government an average score in relation to their ability to fulfil the promises laid out in their 2012 manifesto.
According to the policy centre’s analysis, the NDC fulfilled 52.9% of the policies, programmes and projects outlined in the 2012 manifesto ‘Advancing The Better Ghana Agenda’.
Looking at the four thematic areas of the manifesto, the economy, governance, education and social policy and infrastructure, the government was scored based on each sector and the average score struck.
“The NDC for the past four years from our analysis had a final score of 52.9% and on our scale that is a fair performance,” Director of Technology at IMANI, Brian Dzansi, said at the launch of the report on Thursday.
On individual matrices, the NDC scored 40% on housing, 60% for energy sector growth, 43.9% on the economy, and 33.8% and 15.7% on fighting corruption and narco-terrorism respectively.
