A man accused of being an NDC supporter has been arrested by Police in Tema after he entered the NPP’s campaign grounds carrying the severed head of a dead woman.
The man made an appearance during the Greater Accra Regional NPP campaign launch in Tema Sunday, holding the head in a polythene bag.
He was discovered by supporters on the ground and was nearly lynched, before police intervened to whisk him away.
Furious NPP supporters told Oman Fm they suspected the man had been sent there to plant the head on the grounds so that the NPP would be accused of ritualism by their political opponents.
The suspect is being held at the Tema Community One Police station to assist with investigations.
