Dancehall king Shatta Wale has lashed out at anyone who continually makes comparison between himself and major dancehall rivals Stonebwoy and Samini.
The firebrand artist seemed to return to the glorious early days of his Shatta Wale self – when nothing was off limits and everyone felt the wrath of his tongue – with the release of a Facebook Live video early Friday.
In the video, which Shatta said was to enable him speak his mind, he touched on numerous topics all surrounding his career and his legacy. According to him, there are things he does that neither of those other two artists can only dream of doing and thus he should not be compared to any of them.
The only people who would compare me to these two, he said, would be “a villager, a fool, and an individual who has no brains,”
“If there is fire here and I say I want to pass through, those dogs cannot pass through. If I say I want to do something those Dancehall artistes you are comparing me to cannot do it so why do you compare me to them,” he added.
Shatta, who unveiled a new $1m mansion Thursday, advised followers to trust in God otherwise they would not get anywhere in their lives.
“Some people don’t think positively so nothing positive can come out of their lives. They do not have faith in God so they cannot make it in life. Surround yourself with positive thoughts and your life will be successful.”
Shatta promised a car to one loyal fan, and of course, had to take a dig at other artists for being unable to do what he does.
