VIDEO: ‘Discriminating’ MUSIGA And Ghanaian Musicians Snubbed Anokye Supremo, Absent Themselves At His Funeral? — Watch

Unlike the late Ebony Reigns’ funeral where members of the Musicians Union Of Ghana (MUSIGA) were there flaunting their pot bellies, displaying their hypocrisy by donating hundreds of Ghana Cedis, they completely snubbed Anokye Supremo aka Daddy Lumba without attending his funeral.

Report reaching us indicates that neither MUSIGA nor any of the budding musicians were there to bid their brother even a farewell not to even talk of donating a pesewa as they did to other departed artistes.

There have been several reports that modern Ghanaian musicians do not attend funerals of their ‘fathers’ so we expecting them to at least change this perception about them this time by attending their brother’s funeral but none of them showed his or her face there.

According to former highlife artistes, Kaakyire Kwame Appiah, neither MUSIGA nor any other musician was there which was very sad, but he believes they neglected him because Anokye Supremo had no money.

“MUSIGA is absent, what time are they coming? are they really coming or they won’t come at all? fine! do we need to discriminate in attending funerals?

“I have been a former Vice President of MUSIGA before and I know some musicians who died without registering but their funerals were no different than that of a king. I don’t want to mention names.

“Our brother, Anokye Supremo was seen singing on Television and some of his songs were even being played on radio stations, we all know the issues that surrounded him, his sickness was announced nationwide, so if MUSIGA refused to come, at least some few musicians should have been here,” he told Kofi Adoma Nwanwani when he was interviewed on Kofi TV.
