Is there any issue that is too serious to be milked for attention? A short while ago Efia Odo took to social media to claim that she had become suicidal and complain that social media bullying is what had led her there.

Her announcement was met with mixed reactions. Some people genuinely believed she was depressed whilst others said she is simply doing it for attention. 

If Odo was really suicidal, you would expect her to get off social media, which she did, and not come back anytime soon as she works through her issues. And yet it’s just a few days later and she’s already back posting stuff to her page.

Efia herself said social media is always on her neck and that people should leave her alone. Getting back to social media is not exactly the best way to get people to ‘leave you alone’.

Efia posted a photo of herself with the caption: “Each day I become more of who I am, thanking God for the pain”.

We are not really surprised, just mortified that apparently, people would do anything for attention in this day and age.
