‘GHAMRO Royalties To Me Cannot Even Buy One Champagne In My Club’ — Says D-Black

Most Ghanaian musicians have been complaining about the peanuts being giving to them as their royalties by the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO).

Well, we have another artiste who is also complaining about this same royalties to them and it’s coming from the boss of Black Avenue Muzik, D-Black.

According to D-Black, all the A-listed musicians we have in Ghana, are being paid 600 Ghana Cedis, whiles the B-listed artistes are also being paid 450 Ghana Cedis each.

“In 2016 someone called me from there and told me all the A list artiste and producers had 600 cedis each with them so I should send my mobile money number,” he explained.

D-Black continued that even for the music groups we have in Ghana, theirs is worst because they get nothing than to share the same amount among themselves

“That means if Sarkodie releases 10 songs in a year and I don’t, we are all A list artistes we still get the same amount of money, it does not make sense. R2Bees for theirs, they would have to share the 300, 300 instead of being given 600 each. Rubbish!” he said this on Hitz ‘Hightable’ with Dr Pounds.
