We live in a world where we make fun of almost everything and that includes people having a good laugh on other’s depression state. As sad as it may come across, that is the cold reality we live with in recent times.

Nigerian singer Simi has shared her thoughts on depression and given possible reasons why people end up in that state. She says though sad, many suffer from it on the back of the fear of failure.

“It’s scary and sad. Especially for young men. The struggle to keep up. The fear of failure. The desperate desire for validation. Very scary. I hope that we can let people know it’s ok to share and lean on someone when things get too heavy,” Simi tweeted in response.
