Veteran highlife artiste Akosua Agyapong has cleared the air with regards to the type of relationship she had with boxer Azumah Nelson. She says it is not as purported to be over the years.

According to the singer, there were rumors that she dated Azumah Nelson back then and her (Akosua’s) mother did not support their relationship because of their tribal difference. To set the records straight, she says none of that is any true and as a matter of fact, she did not even know Nelson then and had not met him.

“People say I did that song because of Azumah, people say Azumah was chasing me and my mum didn’t want me to marry Azumah but no, I didn’t even know Azumah then, I knew him to be a boxer but I’ve not even met him before,” Akosua told show host Nana Kwesi.
