Aliko Dangote, Africa’s Richest Man, has made his intentions known to purchase English premier league club Arsenal.

Dangote, who is a life-long Arsenal fan, disclosed that he would have bought the football club in 2017 but he is working on a $15 billion refinery project therefore he will bid for the club in 2021.
“I am trying to finish building the company and then after we finish maybe sometime in 2021. I am not buying Arsenal right now, I am buying Arsenal when I finish all these projects because I am trying to take the company to the next level.” He said in an interview Bloomberg.

The English football team is currently owned by Kroenke Sports & Entertainment. Dangote will be the first African to Own Arsenal should he win the bid in 2021.
