Rap star Sarkodie has talked about how initially Ghanaians did not take the coronavirus seriously but it’s now getting more ‘intense’.

Over the past few days the number of infections has jumped up to 16 and we’ve also recorded our first cases of community spread.

The stakes are getting higher.

In an IG Live video Sarkodie talked about how the virus is spreading in Ghana and how it might have been avoidable if we had taken it seriously from the beginning.

“Obviously, you guys know that we are in serious times with this coronavirus thing,” he said.

“In the beginning, we didn’t take it seriously. I think it’s getting intense.

“I would like to urge everyone to take precautions very seriously. Let’s stay safe. My heart goes out to those who have lost their family and God bless their soul.” Sark added.
