Whilst others were able to afford to stock up for the lockdown, many more than can be counted could not do that simply because they don’t have the means to do so.
A lot of us are living from hand to mouth, which means there is no extra cash anywhere to cater for unforeseen contingencies such as this lockdown.
The only time some people can have money is when they are going on about their jobs on a daily basis but this lockdown has forced many to be home for their own safety.
All across the world, people have shown their kindness side and have made donations.
From food to water to cash to hand sanitizer— the list is endless and today, Nollywood actor and politician Richard Mofe Damijo known popularly as RMD has chirped in his thoughts.
According to the good actor, it would be ideal and helpful if the Nigerian government could ask Customs to bring all the many rice, oil and other food items they have seized from people so they use it to feed people during these hard times.

Sitting here wondering if this wont be a good time for government to ask Customs about all the plenty seized rice, tomato, vegetable oil and all the other food items they have in their possession and give out to our people in need. Whilst thanking them for reduced fuel prices at this time (inject smiley face)and all the other efforts so far, food is a major part of this lock down. I know sometimes the agencies of govt dont work as a team but please this is the time for customs to step and tell us how much relief they can bring to nigerians. #giveoutseizedfooditems #customshelpus #rmdsaysso
