Veteran Ghanaian actor Mikky Osei Berko has revealed that despite 26 years spent in the Ghanaian movie industry, there are times when he can’t afford something as simple as fuel.
Master Richard, as the actor is popularly known, revealed this in an interview with Nkonkonsa.
According to him, most actors/actresses in the Ghanaian showbiz industry are flat out broke.
When asked if he has any proof, Berko used himself as an example.
According to him after 26 years in the industry he should be rich or at least lack for nothing but there are days he cannot afford simple fuel to put in his car.
“Most of the Ghanaian celebrities are paupers. I’ve served in an industry for 26 years…There shouldn’t be a point where I don’t have money to fuel my car but it does happen,” he said.
Richard also said majority of actors cannot afford good healthcare, adding added that those of them who flaunt crazy wealth can never explain where they get their money from.
