The Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) has reminded Ghanaians that the free water experiment is over!

From January 1st 2021, Ghanaians would no longer enjoy the intervention introduced by the President and would now have to resume paying their water bills.

The GWCL announced the suspension of the program via a statement.

President Nana Akufo-Addo introduced the free water and electricity programs during the COVID pandemic to provide relief to Ghanaians.

The free electricity intervention has already been ended and now with the elections over, free water is also over.
