Fierce Clash Between NPP Fanatics At A Funeral Leaves 2 Injured

Reports reaching our desk suggest that a fight which broke out between New Patriotic Party supporters at Suhum has left many injured.

Two persons are feared to have sustained serious injury after people believed to be supporters of Vice President Bawumia clashed with supporters of Hon. Alan Kyeremanteng.

According to reports, the fight happened at the funeral of the late father of Opare, a member of the NPP in the Suhum Constituency, in the Eastern Region.

Video of the clash was first sighted on the Facebook page of NDC activist, Lawyer Edudzi Tamakloe.

He indicated in his commentary that the clash erupted from a misunderstanding between fans of Vice President Bawumia and Allan Kyeremanteng.

He said that Frank Asiedu Bekoe popularly known as Protozoa was prevented from greeting the incumbent MP, Hon. Boadu Kwadwo Asante by the MP’s fans who cast aspersions on him during the funeral.

It was revealed that Frank Asiedu Bekoe is vilified and seen as a rival by fans of Hon. Boadu Kwadwo Asante because of his intention to contest for the seat come 2024.

The action infuriated a member of Frank Asiedu Bekoe’s team, Mr Osei, who picked the microphone and announced at the funeral that they are leaving but wants to inform the public that they were prevented from exchanging pleasantries with the Member of Parliament.

His announcement started an uproar and an all inclusive fight broke out at the funeral grounds.

A 51-year-old man identified as Bernard Kwasi Amoani sustained deep cutlass wounds while Alexander Osei was beaten to a pulp.
