The former wife of Nigerian music mogul Don Jazzy has granted an interview on a radio station in the country detailing how their marriage crashed in just 2 years.

Don Jazzy and Michelle, a model based in the United Kingdom, married at a young age. He was 20 years old while his wife was almost 22 but ended their lovey-dovey in less than two years.

Michelle Jackson, the ex-wife of Michael Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy said on Naija FM that although she loved the music executive she had to let him go.

Explaining what led to that decision, Michelle said Don Jazzy needed time to be himself because he loved music more than her.

“He just needed to go and be himself and go and do his music. Music got in the way of the relationship. We were very young as well,” Michelle said.

She also revealed in the interview that they never had a child in their marriage, adding that they were both pursuing their careers and didn’t have time for their marriage.

She said, “We were both pursuing their music careers at the same time and then he got discovered by JJC Skillz. So it took him out of the home a lot more. I tried to put my music on the back burner to try and balance my home life. But he was ‘very’ into the music and it kind of got into the way.”

Don Jazzy and his ex-wife however met up in Nigeria when she visited after almost 18 years apart.

In the video Don Jazzy posted, the duo was seen smiling at the camera with another lady, as the music executive quizzed his former wife on what she has learned since she came to Nigeria.
