The setup for U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris’ first speech after arriving in Ghana has been heavily criticised by netizens.

In the spirit of Ghanaian tradition, Harris’ podium was draped all over with kente.

Whilst the intent was to project Ghana, it appears Ghanaians themselves weren’t exactly impressed with how the podium turned out.

A photo of Kamala Harris delivering her speech has popped up on social media and drawn intense ridicule.

According to netizens, the design is completely off-kilter and not a good look for Ghana.

One netizen wrote: “3s3 makola ntoma shop😂,”

Another couldn’t hold back the laughter as they commented; “Oh so I wasn’t the only one who recognized it..🥺Eny3 koraaaaaaaa…!!!!🫣🫣🫣”
