The president Nana Akufo-Addo has named DCOP David Asante Appeatu as new Inspector General of Police. He takes over from John Kudalor whose retirement was announced hours ago at the Flagstaff House.
The president said the new IGP must lead a new vision for a professional police service where acts of violence and intimidation are abhorred.
