We live in a world where a few people, well educated and with a lot of money or power called the elites believe they know what’s good and ought to decide what’s better for everybody–even though they are in the minority.
From Brexit to Trump’s ascendancy to the highest office in the United States, what has become clear is that the elites who think they know better are being defeated and they are getting upset.
So far, democracy is our best shot at effective and accountable governance and it rests on the wishes of the majority, something the elites seem to be struggling with and would love to alter.
I’ve never been a supporter of Donald Trump, in fact, I called him a legend in stupidity and jingoism a few months ago and that has not changed.
