John Painstil Threatens To Sue South African Newspaper Which Reported He Was Sacked By His Club For Partying Too Much

Last week we found out that former Black Stars defender, John Painstil, had been released by his South African club Maritzburg United– alongside teammate Ashley Hartog
Whilst some newspapers in South Africa reported that they were released after being deemed surplus to requirement, The Citizen Phakaaathi newspaper reported that they were actually released for partying too hard and wrongly influencing the youngsters in the side.

South African Club Maritzburg Releases John Panstil

Defender John Panstil has had his contract terminated by South African club Maritzburg United, due to non-performance or misconduct, based on which report you decide to believe.
Panstil and his colleague, Ashley Hartog, have both been handed their marching orders six months ahead of time, with their contracts set to expire this June.
