Razz Newspaper reported last week, that child actress popularly known as, Maame Serwa, real name, Clara Amoateng Benson, could not get better grades in her Basic Education Certificate Examination BECE, hence she could not get admission into any of the A-list secondary schools in Kumasi where she lives and acts.

Her manager, Dominic Amponsah, denied the allegation and said: “it is false. It is never true that Maame Serwaah could not get better grades in her BECE exams, or has any plans of resitting. She had nice results. She had the right grades that we wanted.” But the manager could not disclose the aggregate Maame Serwah obtained in her BECE exams.

Dominic went further to disclose that management will not let her stop acting, stating: “we have decided not to make her quit or halt acting based on the fear that the industry is very competitive – with new entrants filling space every short while. “By the time she finishes her 3 or 4 year secondary school and comes back, she may not have space in the movie industry” he intimated.

He also added that Maame Serwah has gained admission to Susec – Sunyani Secondary School and that they have been to the school and can confirm that she will be in the aforementioned school soonest as a first year student. However, reliable information available to GhanaCelebrities.Com has it that the information her manager gave is absolutely false.

Maame Serwah has rather gained admission into Osei Kyeretwie Senior High School popularly known as OKESS in Kumasi. Her first lectures, started yesterday, 17th Nov, 2014. She’s studying General Arts and her class number is General Arts 1A1. Her parents have paid her fees in full. Below is a copy of her admission fees receipt:

Still on her grades, GhanaCelebrities.Com gathers she did not get the best of grades and that the President of Ghana Actors Guild GAG, Kumasi branch, Bill Asamoah’s wife, works in OKESS as a professional teacher – so perhaps, she together with Bill Asamoah, helped Maame Serwah to gain admission in the abovementioned secondary school.

The actress who was delighted to have landed in OKESS and was met with a horde of students who could not control their joy of having a child star in their school, said “I have quit acting. I want to concentrate on my school. That is the most important thing to me now. I miss all my friends and fans.”

However, GhanaCelebrities.Com still gathers from some close sources that her decision could be manipulated by some ‘forces’ around her. Those ‘forces’ might ask her to act during vacation – when she is at home. Maame Serwaah’s mother is in charge of welfare on most movie sets in Kumasi.

The big question on the tables of most art polymaths and the public alike is, should Maame Serwah quit acting outright and concentrate on her secondary school education, complete and come back to her first love? Or should she school and act during vacation to get some income to sponsor her secondary school education? Unfurl a thought because you have one. Until then…MOTWUM!!
