While Ghanaians Complain of ‘Dumsor’, Street Lights Are Left ON in ‘Broad’ Day in Kumasi

Electricity in Ghana
Electricity in Ghana

Did I not recently hear the President-John Dramani Mahama and the Minister of Energy saying Ghanaians should turn off electrical appliances when they are not in used—as part of efforts to cut down wasteful use of energy so to help cut down the unbearable ‘Dumsor’?

It wouldn’t be contemptuous to call our Ghanaian leaders a big JOKE because, they seem to know what to do but they never do it themselves—expecting others to do what they have failed to do.

A GhanaCelebrities.Com reader sent the below photos taken at Buokrom in Kumasi in ‘broad’ day—and the street lights have been left on. This we are told has been the case for some days now.

Ghanaians are complaining of ‘Dumsor’ and this is how those in charge are ensuring that the little power available is being wasted…If this is not mismanagement, what else is?

KOD Helped KKD ‘Rape’ Ewuraefe Orleans Thompson?

blank
KOD right

We will surely hear some interesting details of what happened the night Ewuraefe Orleans Thompson, 19, was allegedly rapped by Kwesi Kyei Darkwah (KKD) at African Regent Hotel in Accra.

Since the case started, we’ve constantly mentioned that there were other two people in the hotel suit (KKD’s cousin and Ewuraefe Orleans Thompson’s cousin)—while the alleged rape was going on in the bathroom.

And although we’ve always known from day one that the said KKD’s cousin was showbiz personality-Kofi Okyere Darko (popularly known as KOD), we don’t think we’ve openly mentioned it yet.

But ahead of the High Court trial of KKD which will start on 18th March, 2015, it has been revealed that the said cousin of KKD (that is KOD) on that night even ‘cleaned’ the alleged victim’s tears when she emerged from the bathroom.

Did Someone Say Civilisation Started From Africa? | A ‘Beautiful’ Young Ghanaian Woman Attempts to Steal A Phone & She is Stripped Down ‘Nekkied’ and Beaten By Both Men & Women in A Market…

Young Ghanaian Woman Thief
Young Ghanaian Woman ‘Thief’

A person who commits a crime ought to be punished—and this is why we have laws in Ghana to deal with criminals; ranging from thieves to ‘homosexuals’.

I don’t remember the last time I heard that any thief has been subjected to mob justice anywhere in Europe—even if so, not in an inhumane and degrading manner like a video of a young Ghanaian woman which is circulating around shows…

I would have found a way to publish the video online so that whoever would be reading this would be able to catch the extent of degrading and the violation of human dignity this woman faced—and her crime was, she attempted to steal a common mobile phone. But publishing the video will add to the shame—balancing this with you seeing it, I think the former should win.

Of course mobile phones may mean a world to some people and stealing may be something they will never condone in a society but anyone who truly stands against the crime of stealing must also have a conscience to stand against the crime of inhumane and degrading treatment of any person—including a thief or a homosexual.

In the shocking video being circulated around, a young Ghanaian woman of about 25 years old is cornered at a ‘market’—and every cloth of hers taken off including her last bit of dignity-panty.

She is seen sitting on the floor with a crowd gathered around her, including Ghanaian men and women (speaking loud and clear twi) beating the hell out of her—in a way if done to a goat, it would definitely amount to animal cruelty.

This young woman who was wearing fine braids is asked by another woman to escape by ‘walking nekkied’ while the crowd follows her—beating her from ‘back and front’.  The same woman who asked her to get up and walk is heard screaming; ‘would you ever attempt to steal a ‘whatsapp’ phone again?’

After hearing in the wind that award winning female gospel musician, Gifty Osei, is on an adventure of becoming Member of Parliament MP, GhanaCelebrities.Com established contact with the Tufuhene of Senya Beraku traditional area, Nenyi Kwa Bentum IV, who has disclosed that its true – that they have sealed talks with her to vie for the Member of Parliament MP seat in their constituency.

Recounting the contribution of Gifty Osei to her native land, Nenyi Kwa Bentum IV said, “If you will remember, last 3 years during our durbar, we made her Peace and Development Ambassador. Since that time till now, she has really done well in following up on developmental issues in the area.”

Touching on the main reason why they settled on Gifty Osei, he said: “Since anyone yearns for development and she has not disappointed us over the years with her development ambassadorial role, we thought it expedient to fall on her. We called on her and presented the proposal to her and she gladly accepted our offer but begged to discuss it with her husband.”

According to Nenyi Kwa Bentum IV, whichever political party’s slot Gifty Osei chooses to ride on to become the MP is not a worry to them. “We are presenting a human being – not a party. We don’t care which political party she belongs to or chooses to use their ticket to campaign. Whether she goes with NPP, NDC, or as independent candidate, we don’t mind.”

He also affirmed their deepest confidence in her. “Everyone has reasons for going into politics – the money, personal interest, but we have absolute confidence in her. She can do it. We know she won’t go and forget about us or turn her back at us when we call on her for help” he ended.

The 2012 VGMA Gospel Artist of the year was in shock when GhanaCelebrities.Com got in touch with her for inquiry into her new to be explored adventure.

“So how did you people get wind of this one too? (Laughed) she asked. Confirming, she stated, “It’s true. It’s true the chiefs and opinion leaders in my hometown called on me and suggested to me that they and the entire community wish I become the MP of the Senya Beraku Constituency.

Ghana Man’s Attempt to Poison His Lover Led to Her Death And Four Other Kids…

OMG
OMG

They say hell hath no fury like a woman scorned; but the same applies to men, apparently.

This sad story from Jaway Anlo near Half Assini has all the elements of a Shakespearan tragedy. Mawutor Huevor, the suspect, attempted to poison his estranged lover with rat poison, but unfortunately she did not eat the resulting meal alone, but took it with four children who also perished from the poison.

Graphic Online reports Mawutor is in the grips of police for the suspected crime. He used to stay with the deceased for years as husband and wife, until she moved out over his refusal to pay her bride price and legally marry her.

According to the accused, the girl and her friends were teasing him over the break-up. They even composed a song to use to laugh at him; so being unable to take the humiliation any longer he designed a plan to get rid of the lady.
