Surely, you do not need a master’s degree in common sense or a diploma in English Language to spot the huge contradiction the statement released by the organizers of Miss Ghana-Exclusive Event Ghana carried…
According to a statement from Miss Ghana organizers which we published less than an hour ago, Miss Ghana 2013- Baafi Guiseppine has been relieved from her position or kicked out because her “conduct has not been consistent” to the values and commitment she subscribed to, on becoming the Miss Ghana Ambassador at your crowning.
Let me point it out at this stage that, when it is politely stated that a person has been relieved of his or her position as a result of behaviour inconsistent with certain values and commitment, it simple means the person has been SACKED—for behaving in such a way that is unacceptable to certain agreed standard or expectation.
So according to the first part of the statement released by Exclusive Event Ghana, Miss Ghana 2013- Baafi Guiseppine has behaved in a grossly unacceptable manner—and therefore she has been stripped off her title.
The statement further mentions that, Miss Baafi Guiseppine has been advised not to hold herself or represent the MISS GHANA brand at any forum and she should be “informed that Management of Exclusive Events Ghana limited reserves to itself the rights to institute legal proceedings against her or any person holding herself out as such.” This part of the statement is a warning, probably a threat to shake Baafi Guiseppine up like a chicken…An indication that, there is some tension somewhere.
So far, the diction, tone and structure of the statement indicate that, Miss Baafi Guiseppine has been kicked out/stripped off…
Now this is where it gets interesting—and the contradiction becomes obvious.
The statement mentions that, Miss Baafi made a decision on “Thursday May 22, 2014, that she was no longer interested in being the Miss Ghana 2013 Brand ambassador”.
It continues that “We seemed to have been naive as we rather chose to remain optimistic of your character and role. However, your subsequent acts seem to suggest that you were serious about your decision not to continue with your role as the Miss Ghana brand Ambassador. Management has decided to accept your decision to stand down as MISS GHANA 2013.”
The above suggests that, Miss Miss Baafi Guiseppine made the organizers aware she was no more interested in holding the crown as Miss Ghana—meaning she resigned on Thursday May 22, 2014 or made her intention to resign known to them in May.
And if the organizers as they have stated “have decided to accept [her] decision to stand down as MISS GHANA 2013”, where does this misconduct and unacceptable behaviour come in?
It is either a person resigns or get kicked out (there can’t be both)—and when a person has already resigned, you cannot sack, kick out or strip that person of any title or position, because by virtue of the resignation, the person has already relinquished whatever entitlements that were in action.
Obviously, somebody is lying to us—definitely, there is more to this! Did Miss Ghana 2013 resign or was she kicked out, relieved or stripped off the title as a result of inappropriate behaviour? What is what?

I do rememberoooo that girl had connections with all the judges to me out of 10 contestant she should have been placed in the 8th position but this ashawo girl managed to win the crown. wow i was just discussing this with a friend 3days ago and they all remember that incident. Not surprise at all,the treatment these girls go through after winning only God knows,u have to be prepared to sleep with most of the sponsors.i went to driving sch with one miss Ghana(Irene), the driver who was driving her @ that time told be how this girl is expected to go out every night with different men,and that before the car is given to her she has to work and pay for it and her trip to the miss world pagent.Chris.i have said here before I worked in an institution that gave me the opportunity to witness some of these happenings for myself,even during auditions some of the girls sleep their way through.
