I actually support the Ga gods for killing over 200 Ghanaians with a flood and fire for the gross disobedience. My only problem is that, they should have killed more people…
If the Christian God (according to the Bible) killed almost everyone (including women and children) and left Noah and a few people ‘plus’ the animals with a flood which credulous Christians believe as having actually happened—why are the same people finding it difficult or appalling to believe the Ga gods actually caused the Accra flood and fire?
If the God of Israel was able to open the ground and hundreds of people were pulled into it—and closed it afterwards; why can’t the Ga gods also be killing anyhow they want, especially when people disobey them?
It’s hypocrisy as a reasonable person not to question the Noah’s biblical story and yet set off to question the Ga Traditional council’s story. But then, religion breeds no reasonable person so what am I talking about…
If your God can cause indiscriminate havoc when people break His laws, why can’t their God do the same?
To the reasonable mind, the truth lies in the false doctrines and human interest in Gods (the God delusion)—the Noah’s biblical story, Adam and Eve’s genesis story and the many others are all false, so is the Ga traditional councils’ claims.
But you cannot accept one and deny the other! It’s time people begin to use their heads, we carry them for a reason…

Everyone is an atheist—so why this question?
Let me explain; atheism is the assertion that a certain preposition is not true (in this regard, the existence of gods/God).
Christians do not believe in the Zeus god, the Apollo god, the Ares god and the over 1000 gods in the world.
So let’s put numbers to this; Christians, Muslims and other religious people do not believe in 999 out of 1000 gods—they only believe in one and claim the others are false (not true).
I do not also believe in the 999 gods plus an extra one (the one they believe in)—I do not believe in all the 1000 gods while they do not believe in all the 999 gods, except one.
So Christians are atheists to the Zeus god and the other gods…I am just an atheist to all gods/God.

Chris, one thing you don’t understand about Christianity, and God, for that matter is that, those days when God will instantly punish people for breaking His laws are over. Now, through the death of Jesus Christ, He gives people the chance to repent form their sins. According to the Holy Bible, which I believe in, He is waiting patiently to reward or punish people for their deeds. God does not kill people or let me say innocent people. The fact is people die due to the actions(sins) of other people. So this statement by the Ga chiefs is totally baseless.
Now, back to you. Take for instance, what will happen to you if you stay in the same room with someone who smokes? You definitely become a secondary smoker which according to research, makes you be at a serious risk than even the actual smoker. The same thing happens in the bigger world. Innocent people find themselves in a society full of bad and dangerous people, so if an innocent person dies through the action and inaction of other people, do you blame God?.
Now, I know you will definitely ask, why doesn’t God then save the innocent people? Why does He allow the innocent people, if you like, Good Christians to die? You see, the fact is, God has the power to save people, but if He does that, don’t you think His idea of a Heaven will be defeated? If we are all safe, protected, innocent don’t die, there is peace everywhere, then I guess the promise of a Heaven is totally useless, because after all , we will be safe here on earth.
But you see, this world is already corrupted(I know you believe this) so, this is the reason God says, believe in, worship me, obey my commandments, so that in case you die, you will find yourself at a better place free from the troubles of this present earth.

But you see, Chris Vincent, people like you have come and gone, and some later became powerful men of God. The like of Saul who later became the Apostle Paul,the greatest Evangelist, is an example.

Why the need to come down to earth to suffer at all before going to heaven? When there is a faster and better way. Which is create us already good and put us in heaven. Cut out middle man. Why the need to sin, repent etc. Just create us as good people and deposit us straight in heaven. Saving our mother nine months of labor, caesarian section with the possibility of death and stretch marks.
Secondly the concept of grand design. The all powerful god would know how I am going to end up. Good or bad. So what is the point of the exercise? Or he prefers to dick us around?
You committed one of the biggest sins. Pretending to know what’s in god’s mind. That seems to be one of the major flaws of Christians particularly the evangelical kind. Saul of Tarsus was not God. He never met God. Living your life after his dictates is like what the north Koreans are doing with Kim Jong Un. A cruel and wicked man who by his own accounts was a killer cannot be trusted with anything. None of his claims were authenticated by anyone. Except ignorant Christian eat it up as the truth.
Imagine after years of persecuting the Jews, Hitler came and told them that he met Moses on his way to Berlin and that he was a changed man. And the Jews should now follow him and his teachings. What do you think would have been the outcome of that discussion?
Saul of Tarsus didn’t change his spots he just rebranded so can destroy the movement from within. It’s why modern day Christians are far away from following the word of Jesus. Turning the other cheek became wait till I finish my prayer then I will take off your head. Look at evangelical Christians today, their favourite prayer is I hope my enemies die a cruel and wicked death. In fact it is what they pray for everyday. It is what they believe will happen to all the non-believers. Contrast that with the man that said love their enemy.
