UK based Ghanaian singer Fuse ODG is set to make history when he performs at the opening ceremony for the 2016 Indian Premier League, which kicks of April 8.
Before the players take to the field, Fuse would be joined by some world class talent to entertain the crowd, including ‘Loyal’ hitmaker Chris Brown and Jamaican singer and Nailah Thorbourne of ‘Brick and Lace’.
Aside the music, the ceremony would see some added pomp with Bollywood stars Ranveer Singh, Jacqueline Fernandes, Katrina Kaif and Yo Yo Honey Singh all set to make appearances.
The Indian Premier League is a twenty20 cricket league that is one of the most lucrative in the world, and attracts major sponsorship and viewership each year. Games are held between April and May each year. The opening game for this year would pit defending champions Mumbai Indians against the Rising Pune Super Giants.
