An accountant for the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) in Suhum in the Eastern Region has committed suicide.
According to reports, Joseph Frimpong Addo killed himself by ingesting weedicide, a poisonous material used to kill weeds.
It’s not immediately clear what led to the self harming act by the accountant, although some family sources claim his health has been deteriorating which could have motivated his suicide.
Addo’s body was found in an uncompleted self contained building with the door to the room he was in barred shut. Police forced it open only to find his lifeless body.
The body has been deposited at the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Koforidua for an autopsy to be carried out.
