The ongoing tension between the Shatta Movement and the BHIM nation has yet to subside and yet we could have a whole new level of tension to deal with once again.
Samini, who lest you forget is Shatta’s oldest rival in the game, has taken a pointed jab at the so-called ‘dancehall king’.
Samini in a recent chat with Joy Fm’s Showbiz A-Z talked about one of his pet peeves, which is artists who are unable to perform with live bands to fans.
According to him, any artist who mimes instead of performing live band is a ‘fraud’. Shatta Wale is notorious for performing without live bands and considering the history between the two, it’s not difficult to see who the jab is mostly aimed at.
“…If [you’re] performing and you have your recorded voice playing and your microphone acting like you are performing, it’s either you are a fraud or doing karaoke,” the veteran dancehall act said.
“You are not a complete musician if you cannot perform your music live.”
Which musician in Ghana is most known for performing live? That would be Samini, and his protege Stonebwoy. Wale is the opposite of these two and it seems in Samini’s eyes is a ‘fraud’.
